We were honored to host some special guests this week at our high school graduation and awards day ceremony! Our CEO, Drayton Holmes, presented the Birmingham Police Department with a Certificate of Appreciation, recognizing the department's support of youth mental health services. Truman Fitzgerald accepted the award on behalf of the BPD. Officer Fitzgerald commented, "To see the look on the faces of the graduates and their loved ones as they received their diplomas was a special moment. Thank you to Alabama Clinical Schools for showing your students and the Birmingham Police Department love, care, and support." Also present with us on this special day was David Miller, Senior Pastor of C.H.O.S.E.N. Ministries, and the Founder and Director of FLY Mentorship. We are thankful for the support of these key community members!

We closed the month of April with our biggest staff appreciation event ever, "ACS Under the Big Top." It was a fun-filled day of games, good eats, laughs, and friendly competition. Shout out to our Service Excellence Committee for a job well done!

We had an April birthday party at ACS! Each month, we celebrate staff birthdays by catering a meal with our CEO, Drayton Holmes. It is just one of the many ways we thank our staff. Happy birthday to everyone born in April!

Did you know ACS has a basketball team? Our residents are excited about their new uniforms, which were worn this week against our friends at Hill Crest Behavioral Health. Go Mustangs!

It's that time of year again! As the weather warms up, our residents enjoy fishing during recreation therapy. Staff members like Jaylen H., also enjoy it! Jaylen does a great job with our residents.

Employees are seeing green today at ACS! The Service Excellence Committee treated our staff to a St. Patrick's Day-themed feast. Big thanks to Stephanie, HR Generalist, and Marquita, Staff Development Coordinator, for serving our great team today.
