About us
In pursuit of the Mayor's goal to build and preserve 20,000 units of affordable housing by 2030, the City of Atlanta has enhanced these efforts in collaboration with the Atlanta Housing Authority to establish the Atlanta Urban Development Corporation (AUDC or AUD). The Atlanta Urban Development Corporation is a specialized non-profit entity capable of leading the redevelopment of public land into marketable, mixed income housing that is attractive and attainable to tenants of a broad range of income-levels. Our goals are to achieve and establish long-term affordability and control, pioneer a new cross-subsidization model of public land not reliant on tax credits, partner with Atlanta’s public agencies, and to catalyze large-scale redevelopment. The AUDC is tasked with incentivizing the development of mixed-income communities that include affordable housing units, utilizing a unique toolkit of financing mechanisms to accelerate project developments. The AUDC actively partners with developers and stakeholders to create a mixed income neighborhood where residents thrive. For more information, please contact admin@atlurbdevco.com.
