Yesterday, Don Coffin, Bankers Trust CEO and President, and six of our interns competed in the Easterseals Iowa Annual Regatta while several team members cheered from the shore. Congratulations to Don and his long-time racing partner Meghan for taking home the gold in the beloved Admiral’s Race! We look forward to this event and supporting this incredible organization every year.

We move forward with our Intern Spotlight series by recognizing Cedar Rapids Treasury Management Intern Quincy Lohman! Quincy is a senior at the University of Iowa studying finance and business analytics with a minor in news and media literacy. We’re so excited that Quincy is interning with us for a second consecutive summer! He decided to return after having an unforgettable summer with the Cedar Rapids team and previous intern group last year. “I worked with such a great crew and learned a lot,” he says. “When I had the option to return, there was never a doubt.” Welcome back to Bankers Trust, Quincy!

Today’s Intern Spotlight features Wealth Management Intern Anthony Fonza! Anthony is a sophomore at the University of Iowa studying accounting and finance. Having a deep interest in the banking industry, he is ready to apply the financial knowledge he’s learned at school in a professional environment. “Having grown up in Des Moines, I was raised around Bankers Trust,” Anthony says. “I thought it would be great to continue my journey here.” In addition to finance, Anthony is passionate about researching sustainability practices in the meat production industry and solutions to soil erosion issues. We’re excited to have you with us this summer, Anthony!

The next edition of our Intern Spotlight series recognizes Marketing Intern Madison Duong! Madison is an incoming senior at the University of Northern Iowa studying marketing with minors in ethics and English. This is Madison’s second consecutive summer interning with us. She is looking forward to building on the transferrable skills she developed last summer. “It was such an easy decision to return,” Madison says. “I want to continue establishing more connections with the great people that elevate Bankers Trust.” Welcome back, Madison!

The next installment of this summer’s Intern Spotlight series highlights Phoenix Lending Intern Michael Kasianko! Michael is a junior studying finance at San Diego State University. He is excited to take full advantage of the rich experiences the bank provides. “This is an exceptional opportunity to learn from a leading privately held bank and gain the practical finance experience I have been seeking,” Michael says. When Michael is not working or in school, he likes to spend his free time either at the beach or with his friends. Welcome to the Bankers Trust family, Michael!
