In our ongoing celebration BuiltWorlds 10 year anniversary, we continue our look back through the archives, highlighting our favorite lessons, moments, and highlights. Today we're taking you back to 2023, when, after keynoting the Construction Tech Conference, Skanska USA's Chief Strategy Officer Anita Woolley Nelson sat down with BuiltWorlds for an one-on-one interview to discuss the most important, most exciting aspects of emerging technology in construction. In her interview, Nelson emphasizes the importance of the careful implementation of new technologies in a business. "You have to (implement new tech) one inch at a time, you can't ask people to make giant leaps." She specifically refers to the importance of education and patience in introducing new tech. To learn more about Nelson's approach to new tech implementation as well as what technologies her and her team are keeping the closest eye on, check out her full session video using the link below. While BuiltWorlds' mission is international in scope—because we believe a better built world comes as the result of widespread connection and collaboration among AEC stakeholders—we still take a pretty big stake in building regional networks. And as a Chicago-based business, there is perhaps no region we more inherently connect with than the Midwest. In the spirit of celebrating and building those regional networks, as part of our larger Construction Tech Conference (being held in Chicago's iconic Willis Tower) we're proud to announce our Midwest Forum, a pre-event gathering of some of the region's top AEC innovators, leaders, and influencers for a half day of content and networking. Learn more about the technologies featured in our Smart Jobsites Top 50: https://lnkd.in/gAYUQwmU
Technology can't make a construction jobsite totally safe. But it can make it a safer place. And safer is better than not. Such is the focus of the Site Safety Technology category of our Smart Jobsites Top 50, which draws from user surveys, industry research, case studies, and member conversations and feedback to determine what are the top site safety, workforce management and site management technology solutions being used in the field today. Among the technologies recognized for their impact on jobsite safety are solutions that can better inform and equip safety professionals; streamline workflows and logistics for less confusion and mistakes; improve the accessibility of safety documentation and resources; and leverage AI to find opportunities to improve safety that may have otherwise gone unnoticed. And that's just scratching the surface. Check out the link to learn more about the Site Safety Technology featured in our Smart Jobsites Top 50 (or any of the other technologies included): https://lnkd.in/gAYUQwmU

Reality capture is an all encompassing term that covers a wide spectrum of imaging technologies, including both software and hardware, which can make identifying the truly worthwhile solutions more than a little difficult. What compounds the problem is that knowing what those solutions are is only half the battle. The other half is understanding them—understanding LiDAR, IoT, photogrammetry, and so on. Part of BuiltWorlds' mission is to enable AEC stakeholders to achieve better outcomes and build a better, smarter built world through informed decision making, particularly as it relates to technology—what is likely to be the biggest differentiator between businesses in an increasingly sophisticated market. Our Top Lists are a direct result of that belief, created to help construction business build and adjust their tech stacks to include technologies that other contractors have employed and since found success. And our latest covers Reality Capture technologies. From 360-degree photogrammetry solutions for buildings and infrastructure to IoT sensors, wearables, LiDAR scanners and more, our Reality Capture Top 50 provides contractors with a curated of layout of recommended technologies, pre-vetted through user surveys, research, member conversations and feedback, and case studies. Our Top Lists aren't pay-to-play nor are they based on any assumptions of quality or functionality. Our Top Lists reflect technology that is currently being used in the field and with which actual contractors are finding success. If a technology, like cmBuilder.io, makes the list, it's because they deserve the recognition. So congratulations again to cmBuilder.io and all the technologies that made this year's Smart Jobsites Top 50. https://lnkd.in/gAYUQwmU
Thanks to BuiltWorlds for the shout out! They have named cmBuilder.io as part of the 2024 Smart Jobsite top 50, link to the article below 👇 Some great products and technologies on that list...the future is bright for #contech ! #3d #4d #webbased #simulation #sitelogistics CadMakers https://lnkd.in/gKB5GcQk
