Cleveland Rape Crisis Center's mission is to support survivors of rape and sexual abuse, promote healing and prevention, and advocate for social change. With more than 50 employees and 100 volunteers, the Center reaches more than 44,000 people each year through its counseling, advocacy, prevention and training services in Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Geauga and Lake counties. On behalf of the Ashtabula County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), we are pleased to share the first annual Ashtabula County SART Conference happening on Friday, August 16. The conference is free and will be held at the Ashtabula County Library (4335 Park Ave, Ashtabula OH) from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. All are invited to hear expert presentations from survivors and professionals. Cleveland Rape Crisis Center's Board of Directors announced today that Nicole McKinney-Johnson will serve as the organization's interim President and CEO, effective June 10. Lisa Radigan, Chair of the Board of Directors, says, "As a community member, volunteer and former CRCC Board member, Nicole has been a strong champion for CRCC's mission and a fierce advocate for survivors of sexual violence...She understands how critical CRCC's services are to the community and will be focused on delivering help to those who need it, when they need it."
