Allow them to explore by touch, smell, taste, movement, sight, or hearing when possible. 4) Read, Read, Read: Exposing children to books about cultures and people who are different from their normal is important for them to see beyond themselves. Reading engages children but also allows for children to grow empathy. 5) Let Kids See Your Failures: A big part of being a lifelong learner is learning to fail. Children learn a lot from the attitude we have towards failure.
