Meet Josh, our compliance manager at CommunityCare! “The company does an exceptional job of taking care of its employees,” he says. “The leaders are easy to follow.” In his role, Josh proactively identifies potential compliance risks, oversees organizational monitoring activities and implements effective strategies to mitigate those risks while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Before joining CommunityCare, he served as the medical administrative officer/director of operations for the 138th Medical Group, Oklahoma Air National Guard in Tulsa. In this critical leadership role, he was responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of health service operations and administrative functions within the medical group. He has also worked as a senior auditor at NSF in Michigan. Josh and his wife are celebrating 20 years of marriage this month. They have two daughters who are actively involved in school and dance activities and a black dog named Lulu who enjoys chasing after small animals that find their way into the back yard. A passionate college and NFL football fan, Josh also enjoys lifting weights with a group of friends on Saturdays. “We don't just share a love for fitness; we also revel in watching films and reading books together,” he says. “Our lively discussions dissect and analyze these works, adding depth to our shared experiences.” Josh describes himself in three words as a contemplative seeker of truth, and one day he would like to visit the Amalfi Coast, Fiji, the Maldives and the national parks in Utah. #CCOKFamily #GreatPlaceToWork

Meet Isaac from CommunityCare! “I enjoy the team I work with in the mailroom and print shop,” he says. “It is nice to have my own domain and things to do, but we are all flexible and help each other where and when we can.” Isaac recently celebrated his one year work anniversary at CommunityCare. In his role, he fulfills member orders for plan materials and he also shares in the security/reception area duties. “It’s been a long winding road that brought me here. I have experience ranging from local news production to lawn work and anything between, including computer repair and office management,” he says. Isaac and his fiancé have been together just over 11 years and have a French bulldog, Lucy Bear. He’s a proud great uncle and a grandpa as well. “I get to be part of her larger family, including her three adult kids, one of which has a 2.5-year-old! We watch her every Sunday and I wouldn’t trade it for anything,” he says. Outside family, Isaac likes to bowl, disc golf and fish. Music has always a been part of his life and he used to play in a few bands. He and his fiancée try to go on a date each Friday night and love to watch game shows together. In three words, Isaac describes himself as “quiet, funny and honest”. And one day he hopes to visit Yosemite and the Redwoods in California. #CCOKFamily #GreatPlaceToWork

Meet Tammy, a customer service representative for CommunityCare Senior Health Plan! “I enjoy working with senior members to answer any questions or concerns or give them any additional information they may need,” she says. Tammy has always had a role in customer service throughout her career journey, starting with customer service manager and then general manager of two different companies. “I love customer service – helping people with information, getting assistance with any issues or just being a friendly face (or voice in my current role),” she says. “You truly never know what someone is going through in life and being able to help someone take care of any information, question or concern is what I want to provide.” She started working at CommunityCare on Oct. 24, 2022. This day is a hallmark because it is the date of the birth of her first grandchild, Charlotte also called Charlie. “She was born around 5:30 p.m. that evening after I got off work,” Tammy says. Tammy and her husband, Micky, and will be celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary Aug. 12. They have three adult children and enjoy being together whenever they can – getting together to eat, spending time at the lake or just enjoying a casual visit. They also love serving at their church. Tammy helps with a Sunday School class for 5-7-year-olds, oversees the livestream for services and from time to time greets people coming in the doors or sings with the praise singers. “I love my church,” she says. And in her free time, Tammy is working toward an advanced diploma in ministry training. #CCOKFamily #GreatPlaceToWork

Meet Mary, a trainer at CommunityCare! “I love my coworkers and getting to be one of the first people who new claims examiners get to know!” she says. Mary has worked at CommunityCare for almost two years. In her role, she trains new claims examiners and assists with ongoing training, along with updating training materials, documents, processes and workflows – and she can even assist with claims processing if needed! Previously, she attended culinary school and earned a degree in hospitality management. “I was a restaurant manager for years before realizing that was not something I wanted to do long term,” she says. Mary and her husband welcomed their first baby into the world on Dec. 30. They also have a golden doodle named Mia. They spend a lot of time with family – Mary is an only child and is very close to her parents, who live just a minute away. Mary enjoys spending as much time as possible with her baby daughter, and they enjoy walks in their neighborhood and at the Gathering Place. And she loves going to dinner or brunch with friends and family on the weekends. “Since my husband and I both worked in restaurants for so long, we enjoy being the ones dining out and not being stuck working nights and weekends,” she says. In her own words, Mary describes herself as “funny, empathetic and dependable”. And the best advice she’s received? “What others think of you is none of your business.” #CCOKFamily #GreatPlaceToWork
