About us
UMass Memorial Health -- Community Healthlink is committed to promoting, restoring, and maintaining the physical health, mental health, and dignity of adults, children, and families in Central Massachusetts who are experiencing mental illness, addiction, or homelessness. Our services are grounded in the principles of recovery and the belief that every person has the right to choose his or her own recovery path. We use evidence-based practices and relevant state-of-the-art research aimed at improving the lives of our clients. We provide services to over 22,000 clients throughout Central Massachusetts each year: We help young children with behavioral issues learn how to get along with others. We reunite families who’ve been torn apart because of drug or alcohol addiction. We provide healthcare to homeless men and women, and help them find housing and jobs so they can live a more stable life. We help people of all ages who struggle with mental illness to regain self-esteem. We take innovative approaches to healthcare: we have integrated primary care clinics in two of our outpatient behavioral health clinics. Community Healthlink, a member of UMass Memorial Health Care, is a multi-service, private, nonprofit organization committed to promoting, maintaining and restoring the well-being and mental health of individuals and families in Central Massachusetts. Community Healthlink is proud to be the clinical partner of the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

Good news! The Massachusetts Office for Victim Assistance announced that $20 million in Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Bridge Funding was passed by the Massachusetts House of Representatives to maintain vital victim services through FY25. These funds will help CHL continue to operate our Victims Services program. We appreciate the support of House leadership: Speaker Ron Mariano, State Representative Aaron Michlewitz, State Representative Marjorie Decker, State Representative Natalie Higgins, and State Representative Bradley Jones, for their advocacy for the VOCA Bridge. We look forward to legislative leaders in the Senate to swiftly pass this bill. Learn more about our Victim Services program here: https://lnkd.in/eERiKJhf

Wednesday, June 19 is Juneteenth, also known as Jubilee Day, Emancipation Day, Freedom Day and Black Independence Day. This federal holiday commemorates the emancipation of the last enslaved Black people in the United States. In honor of Juneteenth, UMass Memorial Health is pausing to recognize our Black community leaders, patients, doctors and neighbors. Today, we encourage you to listen and engage in conversation with inspiring leaders in your own community.
