About us
Eliot has been providing state-of-the-art, evidence-based services to more than 50,000 individuals and families throughout Massachusetts since 1958. Using a person-centered, family-driven approach, Eliot believes strongly in partnering with the communities it serves. Programs collaborate, utilizing the expertise within the agency to provide the highest standard of quality services to clients, their families, and the community. Our Services Eliot provides a comprehensive and diverse range of community based services for individuals and families of all ages in the areas of mental health, developmental disabilities, early intervention, counseling, substance abuse and youth programming. Our continuum of services includes diagnostic evaluation, twenty-four hour emergency services, crisis stabilization, substance abuse services, individual, group and family outpatient counseling, In-home therapy for children, early intervention, specialized psychological testing, day, residential, social and vocational programs for children and adults with mental illness, brain injury and developmental delays and community support services for children, families and adults. Continue your mental health education and training while working at Eliot with the William James College Behavioral Health Service Corps! As a full-time Eliot employee, you may be eligible to apply for the Behavioral Health Service Corps at William James College. Eliot is committed to creating educational opportunities for our staff to support them in both their career development and the overall pursuit of social justice. -Join a cohort of scholars from mental health agencies across Massachusetts and participate in a year-long service and learning program. -Earn up to nine, free, graduate credits taking three courses as non-matriculating students in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s program at William James College. Eliot allows four hours of release time on Friday afternoons for coursework and professional development. -Receive clinical supervisory support and mentoring throughout the year-long experience. -Graduates of the BHSC who are admitted to a master’s or a doctoral degree program (e.g., MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, PsyD in Clinical Psychology) at William James College may apply for a $15,000 annual scholarship to defray the costs of tuition and fees.
