  • “To me, a home is about your family.” For Scott Smoker, a member of the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes, homeownership in his Tribal community means giving his kids a safe place to come home to. At Enterprise, we work with partners across the country to make homes and communities places of pride, power, and belonging. We stand behind and beside Tribes, Tribal housing entities, nonprofits, and Native CDFIs to improve Native homeownership rates. Join us on Aug 27-29 at the National Tribal Housing Ecosystem Summit, where we are working with Freddie Mac to bring voices from across Indian Country to inspire new ideas, partnerships, and investment opportunities to grow Tribal ecosystems that support housing development, homeownership, and economic development. https://bit.ly/4dLNSN3

  • A comprehensive services center that contributed to a 24% decrease in local homelessness. Permanent supportive housing that’s retained nearly 80% of its residents. A tightknit community with rent 65% lower than market rate. These case studies and more are featured in our 2023 Social Return on Investment Report. They’re a testament to the power of partnership—and what a good, affordable home can do.  Thank you to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Santa Rosa, The Unity Council, Abode, and all of our partners for making it possible!

  • “People who do trade jobs are some of the smartest people on the planet. They really are people who make the world go around.” James Sutton is executive director of Build Urban Prosperity (Build UP), a winner of our Housing Affordability Breakthrough Challenge made possible with generous support from the Wells Fargo Foundation. At the heart of the innovation is the BuildUp Community School. The school readies young people for careers in the building trades, offers hands-on community revitalization opportunities, and provides a path to homeownership and building generational wealth.

  • Congratulations to Module and these eight amazing developers! We, along with the Wells Fargo Foundation, are so excited to see your Housing Affordability Breakthrough Challenge innovation continue to evolve and expand.
