Last week, I had the distinct honor of traveling to Normandy, France with nearly 50 United States WWII veterans through the Best Defense Foundation to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in 1944. Walking along the serene American Cemetery at Omaha Beach, where thousands of Allied troops sacrificed for our freedom and that of Europe, there was time and space to reflect on what it might have been like for these brave soldiers to leave home to come to France and storm hostile beachheads, fighting their way on land, sea and in the air eight decades ago. Their courage and selflessness in the face of unfathomable adversity is truly remarkable. To see the utter gratitude and admiration in the French population—to include thousands of children—is to realize that they still consider our troops to be their liberators and they continue to pass this appreciation down through the generations. Perhaps the most special part of this experience was the opportunity to listen firsthand to the stories of these WWII veterans. In some cases this was their first return to Normandy, and in some cases it will be their last. We owe our liberties to these extraordinary men. None of this would have been possible without the generous sponsorship of the Best Defense Foundation, whose mission is to provide battlefield returns to honor our Second World War heroes. I am also very thankful to Delta Air Lines for their partnership and support, providing a charter flight to France for the WWII veterans, ensuring they could travel safely and comfortably. This Normandy return has reminded me of the sacrifices made to protect our way of life. I encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the immense debt we owe the soldiers who fought for our freedom 80 years ago. We must never forget their valor. Epsilon, Inc.

Over the past few months I have been starting to educate myself on AI and how it will affect HR and Recruiting. I will say the more I learn the less fearful I have become; I am more curious and a little excited to see how it could be incorporated as a tool to aid in daily tasks and how else it can be used. I am still cautious of course as there are plenty of ways it can be misused but so far, I am enjoying gaining new knowledge.
