    Copying big companies is lazy. Learning from them is smart. In this Whiteboard Wednesday, I’m discussing how to take the successful strategies of the big companies you admire and effectively apply them to your own business. If you’re running a SaaS startup, you won’t want to miss this. Everything you create is a reflection of what you consume. Most artists will proudly admit to leveraging the artists that they admire as sources of inspiration in creating their own work. The same is true in this business. Elegant software inspires elegant software. Bespoke ad agencies inspire more bespoke ad agencies. There’s obviously an important caveat - stealing ≠ being inspired, stealing = plagiarism. But taking concepts from the biggest players in your industry and re-working them in your own context is a form of invention—and a necessary one if you want to be successful. Today, I'll share one source of inspiration for us at FERMÀT: Meta Ads. Here are the characteristics that make Meta Ads a top-tier platform: 1) Data Advantage: Meta has a massive data advantage with relevant data on who interacts with whom across nearly all devices. 2) User-Friendly UI: Meta's UI is sophisticated yet easy to use, enabling comprehensive control over the entire ad process. 3) Adaptive System: Meta's system learns and adapts quickly, introducing constraints to determine ad placement and audience targeting based on desired outcomes. These characteristics are highly relevant to what we do at FERMÀT. Here’s how we’re integrating these concepts into our platform: ➝ We’re developing a deep understanding of consumer interactions post-click, leveraging millions of daily interactions. ➝ Our platform is designed for complete control over the post-click funnel, from start to finish. ➝ We’re implementing guardrails to create a learning system that quickly identifies what works post-click. I encourage you to consider: Who inspires your company? What are their unique strengths? How can you apply those concepts to your business?
