Panelists Isabela Bagi, Yuri Cataldo, MBA and Damian Kuczma looked into the future discussing the Convergence of AI & Blockchain at the 38th Annual NEAFP (New England AFP) conference. Our thanks to the AFP for a stage to dive into emerging technologies that will change life and business. With moderator Jagathi Gururajan, the panelists agreed that adoption of both these technologies and change will be slower than we expect, often opaque to customers, perhaps isolated to certain operations but most definitely trending to become ubiquitous, while discussing: ** Current state of these technologies in industry ** Use cases that are most popular ** The technologies are complex and fast evolving ** Adoption has many considerations from technology maturity, customer acceptance to regulatory compliance ** Converging or integrating these two and other technologies are inevitable, and will likely happen with smaller use cases. A call to action: Jodi Detjen, DBA Namee Oberst, and Rulonna Neilson were forthright in making a compelling case that there is an urgent need to correct underrepresenting in both, developing financial products and in the development and application of AI technologies. Our thanks to all of you for helping spotlight this essential message with actionable strategies. Their calls-to-action are (see here for recording https://lnkd.in/eM-cjAdZ): Rulonna Neilson, talking about innovation in and the development of financial products: "As we venture into new markets and technologies, let's make a conscious effort to include diverse perspectives that can drive more innovative, equitable, and sustainable [financial] solutions. To all industry leaders, I urge you to look around your development teams and ask, 'Whose voices are we missing, and how can we bring them into the conversation?'" Namee Oberst extended that to the development of technologies supporting financial products: "To my fellow developers and tech entrepreneurs, I challenge you to create tools and resources that invite, educate, and empower women to join the AI revolution. Let's also champion initiatives that provide mentorship and support for women aspiring to enter the tech field. I urge everyone, particularly women, to 'Dare to explore AI. Your engagement and contributions are essential to ensuring that the future of AI is inclusive, equitable, and reflective of the diverse world we live in.'" Jodi Detjen, DBA brought these together urging corporations, educators and policy makers to "[to you], I say, 'Implement curriculum changes that demystify technology and showcase the pivotal role women have played—and can play—in shaping our digital future.' And to women everywhere: believe in your capacity to innovate and lead in the tech world. Your perspective is invaluable, and your participation is crucial." #AIinFinancialServices #WomeninFintech #inclusivity #AI #Fintech #InclusiveFintech #InclusiveAI https://lnkd.in/eM-cjAdZ
