👀 Looking for patience in an impatient world... 🏃🏻♀️ "If only we could hire people with the patience required to deliver excellent customer service over the phone." HR Full Circle recently worked with a call center client who was struggling with turnover among inbound customer service agents. Exit interview data suggested that some agents left because they were "bored answering the same questions over and over" or washed out because they lacked patience in dealing with customers. As a certified partner of The Predictive Index, we helped implement the Hire assessments so this client could profile their ideal agent, then prioritize candidates with a higher natural drive for consistency, stability, a preference for repetitive work, and a friendly and tolerant demeanor. Turnover is down, and service ratings are up. We CAN find patience in this impatient world!

It's us, more colorful! We're looking a little brighter these days, thanks to a new brand makeover. Coming up on our 5-year anniversary in August, we felt our brand was showing its age and it was time for a refresh and some professional intervention. What does this refresh mean? As a brand-culture geek, let me explain: A circle has no beginning and no end, much like your business is constantly evolving. The pinwheel graphic is meant to convey simplicity, natural motion, optimism, vitality and imagination - all things that we hope to bring to our clients! We want our solutions to be easier than you'd imagine. The circular motion of the pinwheel represents the employee life cycle; hire, inspire, engage and perform! HR Full Circle is the breeze that keeps your company spinning continuously with possibilities (our name is Gust, after all!), with people at the center of it all We'd like to thank our partner Red Seal Design and owner Jennifer Strezo Strezo (jennifer@redsealdesigns.com) for her creativity in bringing our brand to life. Reach out to her for your brand design needs - she'll help you build a brand that is anything but boring! And if you haven't yet peeked at our new website, head over to www.hrfullcircle.com and check it out!

The data tells a story! HR Full Circle recently worked with a start-up that is packed-full of creative, innovative types with fantastic ideas that they aren't afraid to share. They move fast and loud to move projects along and get things checked off the list. This team is full of contagious energy! Their strategy however, (in purple) is to become more consistent and predictable. "We can get anything done, once. We need to be more efficient, automated, and reliable." Strengths? -With so much natural innovation, coming up with new processes will be easy (following them might take conscious effort...) -Being more intentional will create security and stability for some team members. Actions? 1. Be more planful with new initiatives. Work past the point of launch through to 2 life cycles of the new program. 2. Identify decision-makers. With so many cooks in the kitchen, everyone is involved in everything, but most decisions would benefit from a clearer chain of command. 3. Outline project ownership. Identify who owns which pieces of new projects, and who will implement vs operate. Transition ownership with clear handoffs. 4. Consider adding more process-minded styles to the team; operational excellence will come naturally!

⬆ What is high potential? ⬆ To me, it means the willingness to 🚪open a door 🚪walk through a door 🚪build a door where there wasn't one If you're trying to assess whether your people are "high potential" consider whether they create new opportunities, take advantage of the doors that are opened to them by saying yes to more challenging work or participating in development opportunities, and they can create doors where there was previously a roadblock. HR Full Circle will be speaking about talent review and succession planning on May 2 in Chicago and at the May 21 Central Illinois Chapter - Society for Human Resource Management (CIC-SHRM) meeting in Springfield. Hope to see you there!
