The school-to-prison pipeline isn't just a statistic—it's a harsh reality for far too many young people. It's time to dismantle this harmful cycle and create pathways to success for all students. Our schools should be places of learning and growth, not pathways to incarceration. It's time to invest in supportive environments, equitable resources, and community-centered solutions to end the school-to-prison pipeline. We believe in restoration over punishment: https://ow.ly/84uq50SwgqV

Have you heard the phrase “school-to-prison pipeline”? The “school-to-prison pipeline” refers to the policies and practices that push our nation’s youth out of classrooms and into the juvenile and criminal legal systems. This pipeline reflects the prioritization of incarceration over education. - ACLU Did you know? The #SchoolToPrisonPipeline disproportionately impacts BIPOC students, students with disabilities, and those from low-income communities. We must address systemic inequalities to break this cycle of injustice. At CHOOSE 180 we disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline, by providing school-based diversion programming in 10 middle and high schools so that students at risk of being suspended or expelled may have access to resources and mentorship to stay in school.
