The Times of India has issued a Zika virus alert, warning the public of an increase in #Zika virus cases due to the monsoon season, as “dampness becomes the ideal breeding ground for mosquitos.” InBios was an early responder to the 2015-2016 Zika Virus surges in the Americas and abroad with the quick development of an EUA serology kit. Our FDA market authorized Zika IgM ELISA IVD kit has a high relative sensitivity of >90% for samples collected ≥7 days after symptoms onset and relative specificity of 95%. The assay has the added benefit of differentiating Zika IgM positive patients from those infected with other flaviviruses such as West Nile or Dengue.
