Today we launched our inaugural Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) in Australia, solidifying our commitment to fostering impactful Indigenous partnerships and implementing programs that drive positive social change. The plan is the latest in Block's long-standing focus on supporting Indigenous communities and advancing economic empowerment through greater investment, innovation, and access. Together with our full ecosystem of businesses, including Square, Afterpay, and Cash App, Block plans to take action through engagement, education and training, community partnerships, and cultural awareness initiatives. Over the next 12 months, Block will execute the plans set out in its Reflect RAP to help contribute to a more equitable future. To learn more about Block’s commitments, you can read the full Reflect RAP here: https://lnkd.in/eHtAhsGN The report features artwork, titled Empowered Futures, from Rhonda Sampson, proud Kamilaroi artist specializing in contemporary Aboriginal art.
About us
Block is one company built from many blocks, all united by the same purpose of economic empowerment. The blocks that form our foundational teams — People, Finance, Counsel, Hardware, Information Security, Platform Infrastructure Engineering, and more — provide support and guidance at the corporate level. They work across business groups and around the globe, spanning time zones and disciplines to develop inclusive People policies, forecast finances, give legal counsel, safeguard systems, nurture new initiatives, and more. Every challenge creates possibilities, and we need different perspectives to see them all. Bring yours to Block.

Last week, we shared our first quarter 2024 earnings which featured strong performance across our Cash App and Square ecosystems and increased gross profit and profitability expectations for the remainder of the year. In addition, each month going forward we’ll be investing 10% of our gross profit from bitcoin products into bitcoin purchases. We are open sourcing our treasury blueprint so that other companies can do the same. For a full earnings recap, visit investors.block.xyz.
