It took a village… over 100+ incredibly talented people across many disciplines brought this magic to life. Thank you to the amazing team at Disney Cruise Line for trusting us in telling this story and getting to build a world around this ship and share it with the world. Shoutout to the Telly Awards for the recognition! Little Cinema LCDigital

Wait, what?! Two years in a row! Never did I ever think I would be part of a team that won Telly Awards TWO YEARS IN A ROW for revealing the newest Disney Cruise Line ships! 🚢✨ These projects allowed me to flex muscles in areas I never did before as an event professional. Along with some seriously talented folks at Disney and at Little Cinema we wrote and produced short films to tell the stories of these two ships, before they were actually built! 🎬✨ Having a hand in strategy, scripting, casting, scouting, and airing these films to the world were two of the greatest growth opportunities I've had at the Walt Disney Company, and I am forever grateful. 🙏 #TellyAwards #DisneyCruiseLine #EventProfessional #Grateful #GrowthOpportunities https://lnkd.in/emM4xjSV

You talkin' to me?!? I got the opportunity to see “DeNiro is an Icon” — an exhibit and immersive film created by Jay Rinsky of Little Cinema as part of the Tribeca Festival. This film is a love letter to not only DeNiro — but to all artists, to New York City and to what really matters to all of us (with a bit of commentary on fame). The Little Cinema team used 50 of DeNiro's NYC-based films as the medium and the ISM Hexadome as a canvas — a 6-screen, 52-speaker, 360 spatial installation designed by the Institute for Sound and Music. Emotional. Moving. Powerful. The sound helped guide you where to look next. The six screens told varying stories that showcased a 360-degree life unfold before our eyes. The footage was familiar, yet reconstructed into an entirely new story. 🎬 What I'm most excited about was the addition of a strong narrative to the immersive genre. As experiential creators fight the battle against mediocrity, most immersive experiences end up being elaborate screen savers or deconstructed elements from a no-longer-living artist, set to music with a big emphasis on exiting through the gift shop. I've been begging for a story, and I know members of our XP Land community have mentioned this, as well. So thanks to Jay Rinsky, we got a great immersive story. Naturally, at Tribeca. A lifetime in the making. The best part? According to Jay, "Bob liked it. And that's all I really need." Bravo to the entire Little Cinema team. More immersive stories with bold and moving narratives, please. In the meantime, check it out for yourself until June 16: https://lnkd.in/eVQn7fBF

I’m constantly juggling ideas, and the big ones require so many stars to align properly, alongside trust and willpower from countless sources. This idea came to me about 20 years ago while watching a DJ Shadow audio-visual performance. Inspired by hip-hop sampling culture, I dreamed of creating a narrative film constructed entirely from film samples. The dream has finally materialized in a way bigger than I could have ever imagined, thanks to the amazing filmmakers Luke Neher, Sam Gill, and the trust and drive of the Tribeca team to push this idea creatively as hard as possible and make it unique. The challenge was creating a single narrative thread from so many separate content sources—shining a new light on existing material to make it mean something new. De Niro was the answer—his career and raw talent are a gift to us all. He is one of the few iconic actors enjoying over five decades of quality filmmaking in the public eye. He is a cornerstone of the amazing city of NY. So, we made a narrative portrait of him. Of an artist. Of the city of NY, Of dealing with fame and of what truly matters in life. Our story is told by assembling tiny samples of films from 1968 to 2023 and connecting them together in unintended ways. The film is exhibited in a unique 3D way on the ISM Hexadome, a 6-screen, 52-speaker, 360 spatial installation designed by the Institute for Sound and Music This setup allows us, for instance, to place a 73-year-old De Niro as a coach in “Hands of Stone” (2016), to give advice to to a 37-year-old angry De Niro in “Raging Bull” (1980) or transition a 69-year-old taxi driver in “Being Flynn” into his younger 33-year-old Travis Bickle in “Taxi Driver.” Like a cross between Christian Marclay’s THE CLOCK (2010) and Richard Linklater’s BOYHOOD (2014) samples of video and De Niro's story as an actor across 50 years on camera unfolds. I’m proud of these results in ways I never imagined when the idea first struck. I hope you can see it. It’s at the Tribeca Festival, at Spring Studio’s 5th floor through June 16th, and features an incredible De Niro exhibit on either side of it. 💥 This is a big one. We made an original immersive film debuting at Tribeca 2024 - starring Robert De Niro! Take a journey through 40 years of Robert De Niro’s legacy with a 360° film experience made from hundreds of scenes meticulously re-composed and sampled by resident artists Sam Gill and Luke Neher to place De Niro’s many on-screen personalities in direct conversation with one another. The piece will be showcased on the incredible Institute for Sound and Music Hexadome - a one-of-a-kind spherical cinema crafted from 6 screens and 52 speakers. We are thrilled to be working with Tribeca to bring this piece to life in such a unique way 🙌 June 6-16, 2024 - Tickets Here: https://lnkd.in/evcZYPNh Supported by Panasonic Connect Audio Video Solutions #ismhexadome
