June's Employees of the Month! For the field we have Diego Santos! Diego has been one of our carpenters for almost 2 years now. Each day Diego is on time, organized and has best attitude. Diego is always friendly and encouraging to his team members so they can all work together to get the job done. Diego is always hands on and provides a helping hand to anyone who needs it. For the office/shop we have Keith Kenner! Keith has also been with us for about 2 years. Keith has been flexible from switching back and forth from customs and casework. Keith has become an edge banding expert since being with us. From day one Keith presents a friendly energy and positive attitude to everyone he comes across. Both gentlemen have been a pleasure to work with each day and we can't wait to see how they continue to grow with us. Thank you Diego and Keith!

Here at Master Millwork, we have a deep pride for our company culture. Each day we strive to create and maintain a culture where all employees feel comfortable, included, and have opportunity to learn and grow. To be able to have this culture we try to provide resources to allow constant improvement in employee’s skills so each employee can be the best they can be and achieve their goals. We believe that a strong company culture contributes to our team members having strong communication and dedication for their careers with MMW. On Friday we hosted a fishing excursion for our managers and leaders’ company wide. These managers and leaders continuously work together all day every day and it’s important that they can communicate and work together effectively so our projects can be completed perfectly. This fishing excursion allowed leaders from the field, office, and shop to come together to have some fun while getting to know each other better so we can improve our communication and understanding skills of each other and their teams to work together better. Thank you to our admin team for planning this fun event. From all the smiles it’s safe to say it was success.

To continue our efforts to maintain and promote a safe workspace for our employees, we will be handing out On the Spot Safety Awards. Our first winner is one of Carpenter Helpers, Judson Alves Da Silva! Without Judson knowing or seeing our Safety Manager, he observed him for a few minutes and noticed Judson was properly utilizing his PPE and fall protection. Judson was waiting for the scissor lift to bring him materials and at no point did he unnecessarily open the delivery doors or unclip from his anchor point. In summary Judson followed all the proper safety measures to keep himself and others safe. Thank you Judson for setting the example and being as safe as possible!

Today we're excited to welcome back Kevin Norwood for his second summer with us as an intern! Kevin just wrapped up his freshman year at Weber University in Utah. Kevin is pursuing a triple threat custom major of Construction Management, Professional Sales, and Architecture. Kevin started with us last summer working in our custom millwork department. He's been able to work with this talented team on learning the ins and outs of custom millwork. This summer he'll continue to work in our custom millwork department but we'll also have him working with our other departments so he can learn more about all phases of construction. Our goal with Kevin is to help him gain as many skills and knowledge in construction and architecture as we can so he can fulfill his dream career!
