I am thrilled to share the latest white paper on the topic of water and green hydrogen, authored by my esteemed colleague Henrik Tækker Madsen, in collaboration with myself In this comprehensive study, we explore the potential of seawater as a sustainable source for green hydrogen production. Key questions we address include: - The advantages of using seawater for green hydrogen. - Comparative analysis of seawater vs. freshwater in terms of energy and resource consumption. - Essential design parameters for desalination processes targeting green hydrogen. - A comparison between thermal and membrane-based desalination methods. Currently, seawater is rarely used in green hydrogen projects, but with increasing project sizes and the water stress in various regions, this trend is poised to change. I am excited to delve deeper into these topics in future posts and discussions. For now, I invite you to read the full paper by following the link in the comments. #desalination #greenhydrogen #water #watertreatment #hydrogen

Use of seawater for green hydrogen, Dear network, I am pleased to share my latest white paper on the topic of water and green hydrogen. In this white paper, I look at the use of seawater together with Ozan Yucel from MECO (Mechanical Equipment Company, Inc.) We investigate questions such as: - Why should we consider seawater as a source of water for green hydrogen? - How does use of seawater compare with freshwater in terms of energy and resource consumption? - What are the most relevant design parameters to take into account when doing desalination for green hydrogen - How thermal and membrane based desalination compare? At the moment, almost no realized green hydrogen projects are based on seawater, but that could change looking ahead as projects grow in size and are placed in regions already facing water stress. I will return the specific questions/topics in individual posts, and for now simply share the link to the full paper. Find the link in the comments. #desalination #greenhydrogen #water #watertreatment #hydrogen
