The NALEO Educational Fund is a nonpartisan 501 (c)(3) organization first established in 1981, we carry out our mission through programs that integrate Latinos fully into American political society, provide professional development opportunities and technical assistance to the nation’s more than 6,000 Latino elected and appointed officials, and monitor and conduct advocacy on issues important to the Latino community and our political participation.

Frometa as NALEO’s 14th president and the new slate of NALEO Board Officers for the 2024-2025 term, which includes: • First Vice President, Hon. Brian Colón • Second Vice President, Hon. NALEO Vice President Hon. Gustavo Rivera kicks off the final day of #NALEOLasVegas and offers an update on the Service Project, which benefits The Just One Project. As part of the NALEO Annual Conference, participants are encouraged to give back to the local community. This year, attendees assembled more than 1,100 school kits for kids in Las Vegas.

For day two of the NALEO 41st Annual Conference, we were joined by U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra, U.S. Representative Steven Horsford, U.S. Representative Robert Garcia and Senior Advisor and Assistant to the President Tom Perez for our National Leadership Luncheon program. Conference attendees explored topics such as the barriers to mental health and treatment for aging Latinos, the humanitarian concerns around the migrant crisis, and the forces driving the transformation of higher education.
