NAMI reposted this
Last Friday, I was proud to join Rev. Al Sharpton and Chair of the Commission, Federica Wilson, along with other leaders and members of Congress, for a critical discussion about the mental health of Black men and boys. We delved into pressing issues such as the increase in suicide rates, the need for better access to mental health services, carceral mental health treatment, and diversifying our mental health workforce. NAMI is dedicated to addressing these issues through advocacy, education, and support. These discussions are vital for driving change and ensuring a better future for our community. Let’s continue to amplify these issues and work together towards effective solutions. #MentalHealthMatters #BlackMentalHealth #CommunitySupport #MentalHealthAwareness #MentalHealthEquity #NAMI
