The Global Standard in Public Service Education
About us
NASPAA sets the global standard in public service education! With more than 280 schools of public policy, affairs, and administration around the world as institutional members, NASPAA ensures excellence in education and training for public service, and promotes the ideal of public service. Through a world-class CHEA-recognized NASPAA ACCREDITATION program, an annual conference, a journal on teaching and learning, a data center offering the most comprehensive search on the web for prospective students, and an honor society for graduates, NASPAA serves our members every day. We also work with public sector and nonprofit sector employers, including state and local governments, ICMA, the US Federal government and other countries' civil service agencies, international employers and multilaterals, public sector consulting firms and contractors, and nonprofits from small to global---all in the cause of getting them to understand and hire the skills of our more than 10,000 MPA and MPP graduates each year! NASPAA Headquarters is located in Washington, DC. Established in 1970, NASPAA was known as the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration until 2012 when members adopted the name "NASPAA--Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration" to reflect our global membership.

6th Annual NASPAA & ICPA-Forum/JCPA Workshop-- Call Open, Proposals due August 1st Do your classes systematically compare and teach students how to engage in comparative analysis—whether of issues, programs, agencies, levels, branches, types of government, and countries—in the field of public affairs? Are you interested in writing a short paper about your teaching experiences, and getting in-depth feedback from peers to better prepare the paper for publication? Co-convened by Susan Appe (University at Albany, SUNY) and Sean McCandless (The University of Texas at Dallas) this workshop (11am-4pm) considers the ways in which effective governance in the public and nonprofit sectors demand a comparative perspective, especially to evaluate how and why similarities and differences in contexts, cultures, leadership, management, structures, and more matter. We adopt a “big tent” approach to explore and assess how comparative lenses are being applied and used in our MPA and MPP curricula. Learn More: https://lnkd.in/ekJ-icSQ https://lnkd.in/eSMKXXwd
