It was an action-packed weekend in Selma - starting Friday evening with the Selma Crab Feed and followed by Selma Clean Up Day, organized by the SELMA DISTRICT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE and the Rotary Club of Selma, California, USA. We love any and every chance to work in and with the Selma community. We're already looking forward to future opportunities!

February is Black History Month! Did you know the first black credit union was established in 1918? The Piedmont Credit Union of Landis was founded by Thomas B. Patterson in North Carolina to assist local black farmers and provide lending opportunities. It became so successful that several more black-founded credit unions were established by the following year. The creation of this cooperative model is a key piece of credit union history and contributed to the thriving credit union system we know today.
