Join us in welcoming Trent Maetzold back to the Pine River Capital Management team in our Minnetonka office! Trent is a junior trader focused on relative value Inflation and Liquid Rates strategies. Previously, Trent worked for Pine River for four years from 2014 to 2018. Prior to rejoining Pine River in 2024, Trent worked at Cargill as a Senior Quantitative Analyst, where he worked on fixed income analytics. From 2019 to 2022, Trent worked at Cargill as a Trader Assistant, managing repo funding, FX hedging strategies, and quantitative analyst for the interest rate hedging book. Trent is a CFA® charterholder and received a BA in Economics with a minor in Mathematics from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Join us in welcoming Ketan Patel to the Pine River Capital Management team! Ketan is a member of the legal team, focused on the firm’s intellectual property. Prior to joining Pine River in 2024, Ketan worked as a Senior Managing Associate for Sidley Austin LLP from 2017 to 2024 where he was responsible for patent, intellectual property, copyright, and trade secret litigation. Ketan worked as an Associate from 2015 to 2017 at Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto and from 2011 to 2015 at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP. Between 2009 and 2011, Ketan clerked for the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and for the Superior Court of Delaware. Ketan received a JD from the Washington and Lee University School of Law and a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida.

Cindy is a Trading Assistant and responsible for assisting with trade analysis, allocation, finance, and execution for the inflation and liquid rates strategies. Prior to joining Pine River in 2024, Cindy interned as a Quantitative Analyst in Asset Management at Wanlian Securities Co., Ltd and interned as a Data Analyst in Financial Engineering at InvTech Beta Investment Consultant Co., Ltd. Cindy received a Master of Financial Mathematics from the University of Minnesota and a BS in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from Sun Yat-sen University.
