Dr. Janet Choi joined Nasdaq's 6th annual LGBTQ+ Leaders Conference alongside Stacy Lentz, CEO and Co-Founder of The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative about the importance of fertility coverage for LGBTQ+ individuals. "There's so many fantastic ways to construct a family and there's no normal. To use the tools we have as a physician, we can help so many more individuals build a family." In fact, we know that a third of LGBTQ+ individuals are considering surrogacy, and 49% are considering adoption. Dr. Choi shared how she got started at Progyny, why she stands behind our mission, and how employer-sponsored fertility benefits can be life changing for LGBTQ+ individuals. In fact, 83% of LGBTQ+ individuals who are planning to start a family, would leave their job for one with fertility benefits. That's why having these conversations and sharing this information with other business leaders is so important. It provides companies with the knowledge and tools to help change the lives of their employees.
