As the proud primary sponsor of the Santa Lucia Festival, Rotella’s Italian Bakery had its own beginnings in Omaha’s Little Italy – and our ties to the neighborhood and the community remain strong. We invite you to join us in supporting the Santa Lucia Festival, August 1 through 4. Join in with activities that include the bocce ball tournament, the Santa Lucia Queen and procession, with the noted Santa Lucia Festival Band. And, of course, there’s the food. https://buff.ly/46Fwzdf

Welcome to the Carne Asada Torta sandwich, masterfully created Rotella’s executive chefs in our culinary kitchen. This blending of distinctive flavors includes chipotle-marinated skirt steak, sliced in a generous layer atop Rotella’s Jalapeno Corn Bread Loaf (#00230). Top with pickled red onions, tomato corn salsa, creamy mayo and crumbled queso fresco. Then grill to perfection and serve hot. As the Santa Lucia Festival celebrates its 100th year, Rotella’s Italian Bakery continues to be the proud primary sponsor for this historic event. In fact, long-time Rotella’s creative director and noted illustrator, Mark Chickinelli, created a special oil painting to commemorate this year’s 100th celebration of the festival. It depicts his representation of Saint Lucy as she turned to stone when Roman soldiers came to arrest her – she was immovable. His model for the portrait is the 2022 Santa Lucia Queen, Abby Distefano. Learn more about the festival origins and history.

It’s the Summer Solstice. Some consider it the official first day of summer, with the sun at its highest point in the year, bringing with it the longest day of the year (if you’re north of the Tropic of Cancer). Celebrate the season with your favorite buns, breads, breadsticks and rolls – wrapped in the Rotella’s Italian Bakery signature green, white and red bags. https://buff.ly/3T2pCLd
