A federal court in Texas has found that the FTC lacked authority to ban non-compete agreements, but the court limited its preliminary injunction to the named plaintiffs. The Court’s decision not to apply the injunction nationwide prolongs the uncertainty for businesses, employees, and the FTC itself.
