  • When you think of Summer, you may have an image of your time as a child in summer camp. Here at Three Fires Council, we want to provide that incredible camp experience to as many youth as possible. We are offering multiple sessions of our Outdoor Adventures Summer Day Camp throughout June and July. This is open to Scouts and non-Scouts alike who are in first through fifth grade. • If you've called our office at any point, you've likely chatted with our Council Registrar, Maritsa. She plays a crucial role in making sure all units are rechartered, all trainings are up to date, and all packs and troops have their paperwork in so that they can have a successful Scouting year. Maritsa is always wearing a smile, ready to help others, and providing excellent customer service to anyone who is need of assistance. Without hard work from dedicated staff like Maritsa and our incredible volunteers, we would not be able to provide such excellent programming to our Scouting community.

I'm excited to share that effective Sept 1st I begin my new role with the BSA as National Service Territory Director for NST-16 serving the 15 councils of Florida, Puerto Rico, Southern Georgia, Alabama & Mississippi. These past 5 1/2 years as Scout Executive of Three Fires Council has been the best job I have ever had. Suzy and I will miss the amazing volunteers, families and staff. We will also miss the absolutely beautiful communities we have served. (Probably wont miss our snow blower, which is in need of a new home). Thank you to the Board, volunteers, supporters and staff for all they have done and continue to do to grow Scouting here in the Chicago Suburbs you are simply amazing, and I have loved working for you. Thank you for letting me be part of your journey. See you around the campfire.
