Brandon “Bam” Margera, the former MTV ‘Jackass’ star, emerged from court today free of the misdemeanor charges that had been levied against him due to a family dispute in April 2023. Margera called the charges "a blessing in disguise" because it helped him turn his life around. “It is always a great feeling as a lawyer when you help someone advance and improve their lives,” said attorney Michael T. van der Veen. “With our representation in this case, we helped an intelligent, talented, and creative person get their life moving in a great direction.”

Key constitutional issues are at the core of the recent proceedings in the Trump classified documents case, including First Amendment and Due Process issues. Regarding the gag order being considered by Judge Cannon, Michael T. van der Veen noted on-air with Abby Phillips last night that the government's burden of proof is significant. "The government has to prove that what the guy did [(break into the FBI building)] was incited by Donald Trump's words. I don't think, and I don't think that the judge thinks, that the government will be able to do that."
