We are so proud of Maia Cooper, Vice President - Developer, who was honored as the Female Champion at the Women’s Affordable Housing Network (WAHN) Summit 2024 held last week in Atlanta.
Maia “overwhelmingly won” the award according to WAHN leaders based on her leadership in affordable housing, kindness, dedication in advancing women in the industry, and also her initiative to write Everybody Deserves a Home, a children’s book that helps explain the need for affordable housing and ways that it is addressed.
Many of Maia's associates and colleagues have expressed congratulations to Maia, including David Cooper, Jr. and Jeffrey J. Woda:
“Maia is dedicated to advancing the cause of women in affordable housing and related professions. She is passionate about hiring, mentoring, promoting, and otherwise advancing the cause of women in the workplace. Her award is well deserved,” said Mr. Cooper who serves as Woda Cooper’s President.
Chief Visionary Officer Jeffrey J. Woda noted, “Maia’s impact in affordable housing is seen daily in our company, in her work with our partners, and across the industry, including in the reception of her book, Everybody Deserves a Home.”
Well deserved, Maia!
