What an incredible day at the Women's Leadership Society Mentorship Program All Circle Event on June 27! Held at Ameren Corporate Headquarters, the event united all 2024 mentors and mentees. The afternoon featured inspiring talks, participant insights, and networking opportunities. Huge thanks to the Steering Committee for organizing, and a big shoutout to Ameren for hosting us! Unite With Us Day was a success 🙌! A very special thanks to all our volunteers and project champions for coming out for our inaugural Unite With Us Day of service this past Saturday! From packaging food, completing yard work and garden maintenance to organizing community clothing donations, over 6,300 individuals were helped at the nonprofit agencies served this past weekend! “We recognize how vital volunteers are to the work of our nonprofits and Saturday’s event was extremely noteworthy because of the size of the effort. In fact, each year thousands of volunteers serve our community through our Volunteer Center to make a transformative impact, further demonstrating that EVERY DAY is a great day to volunteer in our community.” – Michelle D. Dakota’s future seemed bleak after high school, struggling with dead-end jobs and a lack of direction. But thanks to NPower , a United Way of Greater St. Louis funded agency, his story took a remarkable turn. Dakota enrolled in an IT training program offered by NPower Inc. After completing the program, he secured an internship at Accenture, where he thrived and now works as an Enterprise Operations Engineer at Mastercard. It’s been a decade since the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge took the world by storm! In 2014, millions of people around the globe took part in the viral sensation, raising awareness and crucial funds for ALS research.   This year, we’re celebrating the incredible impact of the Ice Bucket Challenge and the progress made in the fight against ALS. Our local ALS Association is one of our safety net partner agencies and their Territory Executive, Josh Nuss, shared how the Ice Bucket Challenge transformed global awareness of ALS.
