Certainly not our client, Chef Andrew Carmellini. “I used to think I needed to make the pastas lighter in summer,” says Andrew Carmellini, who serves notable noodles at New York’s Locanda Verde, Café Carmellini and Bar Primi. But in the hottest months, he says, “we’d still sell so much carbonara and Bolognese, customers freaked out when I tried to change it." Now he makes them year-round. Looking for a cool summer happy hour spot? TimeOut New York and Gotham Magazine both released their respective lists of Best Restaurants with Waterfront Views in NYC. Topping out both lists was The Fulton in Pier 17 at @theseaportnyc. Vanguard completed this two-story restaurant build-out in September 2020 on behalf of Chef Jean-Georges and Howard Hughes Holdings Inc. The project features multiple dining rooms and an outdoor patio with new stair, MEPS/FA, lighting controls, AV, security, restrooms and full kitchen with exhaust system. G3 brought this new location for Andrew Carmellini's iconic Bar Primi to life with the help of G3's Landscape Architecture director Sam Lawrence, NoHo Hospitality Group, Vornado Realty Trust, interior designer MeyerDavis, and Vanguard Construction & Co.. Located just across the street from New York's Moynihan Station, the vaulted space evokes its warehouse origins with raw terra cotta block walls and exposed concrete and steel. Through rich colors and soft touches, the space glows with a welcoming ambience. The adjacent courtyard embodies three separate rooms with lush landscaping and cozy conversation nooks.

Just in time for the heat wave! Our team at the Huntington Shopping Center project delivered this massive HVAC unit via hoist this morning. Vanguard is renovating the William Sonoma store in Huntington, Long Island on behalf of Federal Realty Investment Trust. Scope includes demolition, roof repairs, MEPS/FA, suspended lighting and ceiling elements, acoustical ceilings, carpet or wood flooring, painting, restroom build-out with tiles, cubicles, fixtures and accessories, doors, hardware, and signage. ⁠ .⁠ .⁠ .⁠ Since 2022, we’ve successfully renovated several stores at Huntington Shopping Center, including, J.
