Recently, Captain Scott Smith presented staff at the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office letters of recognition and the Sheriff’s Life Saving Award. It was from their response to a suicide attempt, resulting in hospitalization on an overnight shift. Their actions saved the life of the detained person.
