We are a Cambridge, MA institution and the city's largest residential housing provider for women, caring for more than 100 tenants every day. We provide space for community groups to thrive in the heart of Central Square and serve as a welcoming place for women of all ages to find shelter, support and opportunities to learn and grow. We are dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

I recently have had the honor of joining the Board of Directors and serving on the finance committee for YWCA Cambridge, MA, the largest affordable housing provider to women and one of the only shelters for families in our community. This comes at a particularly important time as many in our communities face challenges related to the rise in cost of living, lack of access to affordable housing, and more. Black women shouldn't have to work more than 18 months to earn what non-Hispanic white men make in 12. But that’s the legacy racism has left on Black women’s economic security. On #BlackWomensEqualPayDay, we are reminded that we must keep working to eliminate the #WageGap. #BlackWomenCantWait #BlackWomensEqualPay
