Last week's Affiliate Summit West in Las Vegas 🎲 was a gathering of industry leaders, innovators, and visionaries. I was honored to participate in an insightful panel discussion on how publishers are leveraging new tech and innovation to drive success in our dynamic landscape. 🚀 Panel Highlights: It was a pleasure sharing the stage with Jessica Seib, Sara Sheehan and Merin Pasternak! A few takeaways from our session: 👉 Diversifying traffic sources is a challenge many publishers are facing. Publishers are leaning into channels outside of Search more heavily than before. 👉 Publishers are leveraging tech vendors to create more paid placement opportunities to improve revenue diversification and offer advertisers new ways to connect with our audiences. 👉 Publishers are partnering with tech vendors to scale and democratize data, often from disjointed sources, for internal users who need to access it in quick, digestible formats. 👉 Publishers are watching closely as AI developments unfold, and are looking for opportunities to embrace it in positive ways without risk to the business. 👉 Internal decisions to "buy vs. build" are complex and require the approvals of many stakeholders. Low-risk testing is key, as well as continuing to re-evaluate the value the vendor is providing. As businesses evolve, needs change. 🌐 Embracing Change: Affiliate marketing is evolving at a rapid pace, and it's exhilarating to witness the collective commitment to staying ahead of the curve. ASW highlighted the importance of adaptability and the role of innovation in shaping the future of our industry. 🔗 Networking Gems: The event was a goldmine of connections and collaborations.
