Downgrade to switch Premium subscription plan

Important to know

You can only downgrade your Premium subscription through the LinkedIn desktop site (online) if you have a Premium Business, Sales Navigator Core, or the Sales Navigator Advanced (single active seat) subscription. 

You can downgrade your Premium subscription to a plan that better suits your needs. Please note that downgrading from your current plan will result in losing access to certain features. This feature is available on the LinkedIn desktop website only.

Note: You can't downgrade if you have a Premium Career subscription.

To downgrade your Premium subscription: 

  1. Click the Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.

  2. Select Premium features from the dropdown. 

  3. Click the Subscription details dropdown near the upper right of the page next to Premium Account and Features.

  4. Select Manage subscription from the dropdown.

  5. You’ll be redirected to the Manage Premium account settings page. 

  6. Under Manage Premium account, click Switch plans

  7. Click Explore other plans on the upper right.  

  8. Select a plan (that is lower than the existing plan) from the Explore other plans pop-up window and click Apply.  

  9. Click Downgrade plan on the Premium subscription you’d like to downgrade to. 

  10. Follow the prompts to complete the downgrade. 

Notes:

  • If you switch to a different Premium subscription plan during a free trial, you'll lose the free trial benefits of the original plan.
  • Your billing cycle will begin immediately on the day you switch plans. The price you pay will be based on the new Premium subscription plan, not the original one.
  • You cannot switch back to the original Premium subscription plan or any other plan and regain the free trial benefits.
