My book, "Scaling Customer Success: Building the Customer Success Center of Excellence," was published a year ago, and is based on my 23 years of professional experience, with 17 of those years spent in customer-focused roles such as professional services, customer and partner success, and consulting. Throughout my career, I've been involved in growing and managing these practices. Shreesha Ramdas and I noticed a common challenge: many companies excel at starting customer success practices focused on their most valuable customers, but struggle to extend these practices to all customers. This typically involves investing in scaling capabilities and adapting business and engagement models. Our book addresses how to establish a strong foundation for scaling customer success practices from the outset. We provide practical guidance for expanding customer success models beyond a select group of customers without major organizational changes. The book serves as a handbook for customer success leaders and managers, offering actionable workflows and practices that can be directly implemented in their organizations. The rise of Global Capability Centres ( GCC) in India is redefining India’s role in the global business ecosystem. GCCs are strategic hubs for MNCs driving innovation , development & critical business functions with end to end product development, R&D , data analytics AI initiatives & much more. The 1,580 centres in India already account for 50 % of all GCC’s globally, employing about 1.66 million Indians & generating about $46 billion in annual revenues as of March 2023. With India currently graduating 1.5 million engineers per year & rising, the country has the capability to support this as a model to support future global growth. A phenomenal “Make in India”story.
