Over 30 years of international business development, strategic planning, finance, risk mitigation and corporate governance experience and practice, with more than 25 years focused of Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.

For last 15 years, responsible for strategic development of business in Ukraine and Europe for Amsted Rail Company, Inc. Between 2015 - 2020, supported Eurasian market interests of The Greenbrier Companies, Inc.

Over past 25 years, have lived in Ukraine and Russia. Have been active in business and educational communities through service on boards of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) and Pechersk School International (PSI). Served as a leader of Cub Scout Pack #3980 (Kyiv) as part of the Boy Scouts of America.

    Immediately after undergraduate college, managed OPIC investment promotion activities, eventually focusing on Central Europe and the CIS. Created and implemented OPIC’s fee-based advisory services program for U.S. clients, including the preparation and dissemination of Investor Information Service (IIS) country information kits and the Opportunity Bank joint venture partner matching service. Interacted closely with representatives of private American companies and lending institutions, as well as the U.S. government, including the Departments of State and Commerce, EximBank, TDA and USAID, to design initiatives intended to improve commercial, economic and political ties between U.S. and Central Europe/CIS countries. Monitored the execution of a $5.1 million CIS investment promotion program. Represented OPIC domestically and internationally at conferences and seminars, as well as on official U.S. government delegations involving senior-level American company executives.

    In March 1994, moved to Moscow, Russia, to serve as the first, official OPIC Representative to the CIS, based out of the U.S. Embassy Moscow. Through counseling of U. S. companies on OPIC programs, identified and developed projects for OPIC’s finance and political risk insurance pipelines in various industries, including defense conversion, manufacturing, mining, oil & gas, and telecommunications. Provided OPIC advocacy services in support of U.S. private sector investment projects. Interacted with official representatives of CIS host countries concerning the attraction of private American capital. Consulted with representatives of the EBRD, International Finance Corporation (IFC), and other bilateral and multilateral organizations concerning investments throughout the CIS.
