Delivered the keynote speech to an audience of 200+ at the Waimea High School ROTC "Menehune Battalion" military ball. Spoke on the importance of servant-leadership and leading with vision, courage, and heart. Leadership is something we can all do, right where we are. Acted as mentor, advisor, tutor, and recruiter for the NCAA Division I swim team and coaching staff. Accompanied team on away trips, coordinated travel logistics, administered academic exams, tracked cadet-athletes' academic fitness, and advised coaches on military professionalism/morale issues. Coaches credited my recruiting efforts as the primary reason for the commitment of numerous "A-players" to the team.
