Here's how you can overcome the lack of face-to-face interaction in remote work as a product manager.
Regular checkins are the most important way I have kept in touch with the people I work with remotely. We kick off our weekly meetings talking about our personal lives and what we did that weekend, etc. before we transition to work. For all new leaders, I also recommend they never cancel 1:1s with their peers - even if you don't have much work to talk about and you'd LOVE to get that time back, do not cancel it. It takes time to build trust and that only comes with face-to-face interaction, whether that is online or in person.

Here's how you can identify the key qualities employers seek when promoting Product Managers.
One of the most important parts of communicating a strategic vision is to tie it back to the business goals of the companies. Product Managers need to learn about the business goals, and clearly communicate how their Product Strategy will help the business achieve it. This is a big gap I see in Product Management - learn to talk about the financials and the drivers of the business.

Here's how you can develop the key traits of resilient product managers.
I used to get defensive when people critiqued my work as a product manager and UX designer until I took a step back and considered that all this feedback was something that could help me learn. Every interaction I had with a CEO or senior leader, I would reflect on it and ask myself if I achieved my goal and if not, what I could try next time to do better. Consider all your steps an experiment at work until you achieve your goals. Learn from the mistakes but don't let them paralyze you.

Here's how you can attract clients as a self-employed Product Manager using your past experience.
Personal branding is critical for building an audience that you can target once you decide to go on your own. I built up a reputation at my previous companies before starting out on my own, and when I was ready to freelance I had ex-colleagues reach out to ask me to help their companies. I spoke at conferences every chance I could get to share my lessons learned. I blogged about what I was learning along the way. All of this played an important role in building my brand to what it is today, and all I was doing was sharing what I had learned and experienced (which is easy to do!)

Many companies want to reap the benefits of economies of scale that comes with being a product-led company. As our businesses change shape to focus more on software, so do our ways of working. We need to make sure we’re breaking down these silos of information and capabilities that arise at scale. To react quickly and set great Product Strategies, leaders and team members alike need access to high quality data and a process to implement their decisions.
In this book, Melissa Perri and Denise Tilles explain how Product Operations helps solve many of scaling issues companies face today, like:
Connecting financial metrics back to the delivery of software features
Better working relationships between go-to-market teams and software teams
Getting the right information to set and monitor company and product strategies
Streamlining the flow of user insights into the right teams
How to set up a Product Management Operating Model
Executives and leaders of SAAS scale up and enterprise companies will discover the benefits of the Three Pillars of Product Operations as they read through the stories of real companies who have implemented the function, like Stripe, Uber, athenahealth, Oscar Health, and Fidelity. This book covers the following topics:
What is Product Operations and why is it an essential function in scaling software companies
The Three Pillars of Product Operations: Data and Insights; Customer and Market Insights; and Process and Governance
How to Introduce and Build a Team for Product OperationsOther authorsSee publication -
Escaping the Build Trap
