Puget Sound Business Journal
The Puget Sound Business Journal set out to identify people under the age of 40 who were center stage in the business community, working hard to drive the economy and demonstrating dynamic leadership. To earn a 40 Under 40 Award, candidates are nominated and then must completed a lengthy application, which is reviewed by a panel of indpendent judges who are past winners of the award and other leaders in the business community.

Governor's Distinguished Management Leadership Award
State of Washington
In 1985, the Governor's Distinguished Management Leadership Awards was created to formally recognize state government managers that demonstrate outstanding management excellence. Governor Booth Gardner signed Executive Order 91-08 to institutionalize the program. The Governor's Award for Leadership in Management is an annual award that recognizes managers in state government who demonstrate extraordinary leadership through performance results in the previous year.
