We are looking for an enthusiastic person with excellent communication and keyboard skills to provide administrative support to the Screening & Immunisation Services Department. The postholder will be responsible for providing an administrative role to the National Adult & Child Health Programmes working with a team within the department, ensuring patient records are maintained appropriately and accurately and also providing admin support at schools when delivering the immunisation programmes.

Ideally we are looking for someone with administrative experience as job, at present, is quite paper based, as well as being dependent on updating on Independent Computer systems. Also we have a new computer system coming in next year, so someone that can adapt to an ever changing environment.

Candidates should have a good understanding of all aspects of administration with an excellent telephone manner.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
