Oversee month-end close, consolidations and year end financial reporting including commentary regarding fluctuations
Responsible for general ledger accounting, journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations and variance analysis.
Responsible for coordinating for year end audit requests and preparing supporting documentation
Monitor and plan Capex and Opex for plant location
Oversee financial planning and analysis including budgeting, forecasting, gross margin analysis, capital spending, annual operating planning, KPIs, cash flow, balance sheet and income statement analysis
Maintain internal controls / SOX compliance for accounting department
Potential for ERP implementations
Manage, train and mentor the accounting team
Assist with a wide variety of ad hoc analysis projects
Background Profile:
BA degree in Accounting or Finance
Advanced degrees preferred (MBA, MAcc/MA/MSA)
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) preferred
6+ years of corporate general ledger operational accounting experience preferred or plant accounting / finance / FP&A
Additional experience in public accounting (audit or tax) is a plus
Experience working within the manufacturing industry
Experience managing and leading a team
Strong understanding of US GAAP
SOX compliance experience
Exposure to larger ERP (Oracle, SAP) Hyperion experience is preferred
ERP implementation experience may be helpful
