The University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy is seeking qualified applicants for an adjunct instructor position in Mathematics to teach College Algebra in-person on-campus during the fall semester, starting August 2024. Compensation is based on the number of sections taught and is commensurate with degree and experience.
Responsibilities
Provide dynamic and effective teaching of a 3-credit hour College Algebra course. Class size is around 35 students.
Be available for contact by students at arranged times out of class.
Prepare, administer and grade tests and assignments for course.
Communicate regularly with full-time mathematics faculty at the UHSP.
Follow UHSP teaching and faculty guidelines for adjunct faculty.
Education And Requirements
Qualified candidates will possess a Master’s degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education, or a Batchelor’s degree in Mathematics with a Master’s degree in Education, at least 2 years of teaching experience and a strong desire to work with students.
Experience with learning management systems (D2L Brightspace or equivalent) is preferred.
