Adjunct Instructor, Mathematics

The University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy is seeking qualified applicants for an adjunct instructor position in Mathematics to teach College Algebra in-person on-campus during the fall semester, starting August 2024. Compensation is based on the number of sections taught and is commensurate with degree and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide dynamic and effective teaching of a 3-credit hour College Algebra course. Class size is around 35 students.
  • Be available for contact by students at arranged times out of class.
  • Prepare, administer and grade tests and assignments for course.
  • Communicate regularly with full-time mathematics faculty at the UHSP.
  • Follow UHSP teaching and faculty guidelines for adjunct faculty.

Education And Requirements

  • Qualified candidates will possess a Master’s degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education, or a Batchelor’s degree in Mathematics with a Master’s degree in Education, at least 2 years of teaching experience and a strong desire to work with students.
  • Experience with learning management systems (D2L Brightspace or equivalent) is preferred.
