Job Description Summary:

  • Brand managers are the face of the company. This is far more of a consultative role than a technician. A consultant is simply someone who knows more than their audience.
  • Excel where others fail. The top reason that Adverio earns and retains business is that other agencies simply do not communicate enough nor provide the brand with enough confidence that they are proactive and have the bandwidth to support their desired level of attention.
  • How to: Excel where others fail. In the realm of Amazon account management, success is akin to crafting a compelling narrative for each account. Think of every brand as a unique story with distinct characters and plotlines waiting to be told. You must embrace your role as the storyteller of our brands’ success. In this story, our brands are avid readers, eager to see their business thrive on Amazon's platform. They look to you, the account manager, as the author and publisher of their success story. We have a dedicated team of supporting members, our 'writers,' who work diligently behind the scenes to ensure that every detail is perfect. However, we understand that success requires more than just creating a story; it demands effective communication and collaboration. Our commitment to attention to detail and proactive communication sets us apart. We won't leave our brands in the dark, hoping they'll understand the data or remember our discussed strategies. We recognize that agencies are only as good as the attention, focus, and thought they invest in each account. Despite our growth, we remain dedicated to providing the personalized attention and care that each brand deserves. We see the big picture, but we also appreciate the importance of the individual stories within it.
  • We must maintain that we are not too big to deliver the attention and dedication each brand needs. You will always work closely with the brands, reminding them of our strategies, keeping them informed about what's happening, and vividly portraying what's to come. Our goal is to be the storytellers who captivate our brands with each page we unfold, ensuring their success as the ultimate outcome. Their story is our priority, and we're committed to making it a bestseller.
  • Manage partner brand accounts assigned to you as the PoC (point of contact). The Brand Manager will act as the primary point of contact for the brand, responsible for coordinating Adverio’s services, implementing strategy, communicating with brands, direct reports, and leadership.
  • 2+ Direct Reports. In addition to brand services, this position also has a managerial arm, and following the completion of training, brand managers will be expected to lead a small team of Amazon specialists, who will assist the manager with delivering Adverio services to the brand.

What is Required?

  • MUST HAVE agency experience of ideally 1+ years. There is a strong need to be capable of navigating many catalog types and prioritizing an agency's proper evolving aspects.
  • While we all learn at different paces and have different definitions of experience, we desire 1+ years of Amazon Seller Central Experience or Amazon Vendor Central knowledge/experience.
  • Thus, you must know Seller/Vendor Central well enough to know more than your brands under management (aka: being a Consultant). This includes familiarity with flat files, inventory management, FBA process, reinstatements, case filing, brand registry, Amazon SEO terminology (we’ll teach you our proven methodology and best practices), keyword research, etc.
  • We do not require an expert-level understanding and execution of each of the above items and you must be able to simply speak to them intelligently. The beautiful part is that we have a team of experts who can execute on your behalf. You talk the talk, they walk the walk.
  • Management experience. Must have experience with direct reports and team management. You should feel comfortable leading a team and helping others overcome and resolve issues. You should have experience in hiring and performance management, and be able to anticipate the needs of the agency.
  • Feel comfortable and excel in a fast-changing environment. You should be able to multitask at an expert level and help ensure that tasks get completed.
  • Be well versed with workplace tools such as Zoom, Slack, and Wrike/Clickup (or comparable tools).
  • Excel at and love project management.
  • Be comfortable taking responsibility for brand accounts, conducting brand calls, and communicating with brands on a frequent basis to grow their sales on Amazon.
  • To Summarize: You should know Amazon Seller/Vendor Central, have Agency Experience or comparable experience managing multiple brands, be Comfortable with Technology, be Independent and People Focused, and be passionate about eCommerce growth!

  • Initial engagement is a contract-to-hire. In most cases, you're able to provide 5 hours/wk in a consulting format. This allows us to make sure we are a great fit for each other.
  • Benefits Starting on Day 91 and back-dated to Day 1
  • Annual Bonus up to 20% of base pay
  • Fun Fully Remote Culture – Community Culture, Team Oriented Environment
  • You can have your OWN Amazon selling business and utilize company resources to build your own account!
