Application and Technology Portfolio Senior Manager

King & Spalding, a leading global law firm named by American Lawyer as the Best Law Firm of 2023, is seeking an Application and Technology Portfolio Senior Manager to join our Information Technology Team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of our business applications and technology solutions.
• Support business processes in finance, marketing, human resources, new matter intake and conflicts, as well as leading custom app development projects and managing vendor relationships.
• Work closely with IT and functional leaders to align technology priorities with business objectives and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our internal and external clients.
• Manage the application and technology portfolio for the firm, including products from Intapp, Aderant, Microsoft and Azure, and SQL databases.
• Lead the planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and support of custom applications and integrations.
• Collaborate with IT and functional teams to define business requirements, scope, and deliverables for technology projects.
• Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and methodologies for application development and maintenance.
• Manage the performance, availability, security, and compliance of the application and technology environment.
• Manage the budget, resources, and vendors for the application and technology portfolio.
• Mentor, coach, and develop the application and technology team members.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends and evaluate their applicability and impact on the firm's business and IT strategy.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in managing and delivering complex technology solutions in a large-scale, global, and dynamic environment.
• Experience in supporting business processes in finance, marketing, human resources, new matter intake and conflicts.
• Experience in leading custom app development projects and managing custom built systems.
• Experience in working with products from Intapp, Aderant, Microsoft and Azure, and SQL databases.
• Strong knowledge of application development life cycle, methodologies, and tools.
• Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment.
