Job Description
Position Title: Assistant Property Manager
Location: San Diego, CA
Company Overview: Join our dynamic team at SDRE Homebuyers, an innovative real estate
development and property management firm based in San Diego. We are committed to delivering
exceptional service to our clients and tenants, and we are looking for a dedicated Assistant
Property Manager to support our growing operations.
Position Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to assist in
various aspects of property management, including client and tenant relations, property
maintenance, financial management, marketing, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate
will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for real
estate.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Preparing financial reports, maintenance records, and strategic recommendations.
Ensuring transparency with clients by providing access to property management software
and relevant documents.
Managing the lease lifecycle, including drafting, negotiating, and enforcing lease
agreements.
Scheduling regular and in-lease property inspections to ensure tenant compliance.
Coordinating with contractors and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and
renovations.
Implementing preventative maintenance programs.
Handling rent collection, managing accounts receivable, and addressing delinquent
payments, including creating 3-Day Notices.
Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing detailed financial reports.
Participating in accounting meetings and owner payment disbursements.
Executing marketing strategies to attract and retain tenants, including advertising vacant
properties.
Responding to inquiries, pre-qualifying applicants, screening applicants, and managing
the application and approval process.
Preparing and sending lease agreements and setting up tenant portals.
Maintaining organized and up-to-date property files and records.
Preparing reports on property performance, occupancy rates, and key metrics.
Utilizing property management software to streamline operations.
Overseeing the transition process for newly acquired properties, including initial
inspections and action plans.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business,
real estate, or related field preferred.
Previous experience in property management or real estate is a plus, but not required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; property management software is a plus
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in an extremely fast paced
environment.
