Associate Principal, Database Administration

Akkodis is seeking a talented SQL Database Administrator for full time hybrid opportunity with a premier financial industry client in Chicago. The SQL Database Administrator should have direct experience with database design and performance tuning.

Pay/Salary Range: $110,000-125,000/Annually

SQL Database Administrator job responsibilities include:

• Write and review SQL, stored procedures, and triggers to optimize database performance.
• Perform all phases of Systems Analysis and Design, ensuring efficient and effective database solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand hardware and operating system capabilities within the environment.
• Develop and maintain complex applications utilizing supported database technologies, with a focus on PostgreSQL and DB2 LUW on Red Hat Linux.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business (or equivalent experience).
• Familiarity with EDB Postgres & EDB Postgres Distributed, basic Java, Perl & Linux Shell script skills.
• Strong knowledge of software subsystems including DBMS and Transaction Processing Managers.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins & CI/CD skills.
