Overall Description
Provide support to various benefits administration workstreams such as leave/disability, 401k plan audit, error reporting between third-party and *** payroll/HRIS, and tracking of team priorities for both “business as usual” tasks and “Workday testing” tasks. This role requires flexibility to take on new and unexpected assignments as well as multitasking skills to work across multiple benefits areas simultaneously. This role will report to the Sr Benefits Manger and be required to work independently as well as collaborate with team members.

Main Accountabilities
- Support the leave administration program, and research and resolve customer questions and issues
- Review weekly benefit file feeds to Mercer and research and resolve issues that arise.
- Support the upcoming 401k audit and respond to specific needs and requests, both internal and external, to ensure a successful audit.
- Support data analysis, reconciliation, audits as needed.
- Ensure the day-to-day benefit team’s activities are aligned with HRTP and related activities.
- Collaborate with Payroll and Vendor Partners to resolve issues
- Consult with internal customers and vendors to ensure escalated benefit cases are resolved timely, accurately, and efficiently
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
- 10+ years of experience as a team leader of a key project
- Knowledge of health and group benefits and/or retirement benefits
- Intermediate to advanced-level pProficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and other MS Office applications
- Strong project management skills
- Critical thinking skills to investigate and resolve issues
- Values follow-through, customer service and timely resolution
- Must be results oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects, shifting priorities, and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Must maintain confidential information discreetly and protect employee privacy
- Highly ethical, flexible, inquisitive & logical
- Strong customer focus
- Understanding of benefit laws and regulations: ERISA, Benefit Plan Reporting/Filing Requirements
- > 5 yrs prior experience managing benefit programs, working with benefit consultants/brokers.
- Prior experience with a Human Resources Information System (Workday preferred)
